qThe past few months have been interesting. We have put our house on the market b/c we would like to move closer to town. We have slowly been working on the things that need to be dealt with before we move. Here are two of those projects.
After Chris died the sump pump burned out and one of the MMS guys replaced it. I asked him to put in a submersible sump...I don't think that was a good idea. When we did the work to dry out our basement the drainage tiles were routed to drain into the sump. Well the past few hard rains have caused the sump to overflow b/c the float gets caught and doesn't trip the pump. I had Caleb replace the submersible with a pedestal kind. He installed it and it works well. I scrubbed down that area, using hot soapy water and the garden hose, so that we could finish painting and the sump pump kicked on just like it was supposed to. Note: I think that Caleb looks so much like his dad in this picture.
Several months back my ice maker stopped working. I called MMS today to see about getting a filter changed b/c I thought maybe the filter was too old. They sent Dave (Caleb's mentor) out to check it out. Dave and Caleb worked through a few things. When Dave left there were a few ice cubes. If we don't continue to get ice he thinks he knows what the problem is and they should be able to fix it.

It's so exciting to see Caleb growing both in stature and ability. What a mentor he has...first in his Dad and now in Dave. God is good.
